Serdar Canpolat
Associate Attorney
Serdar Canpolat serves as an attorney at Yellow Law Group, specializing in corporate law, commercial transactions, and commercial litigation. He advises startups, founders, and mid-sized companies on corporate formation, governance, and strategic structuring, while also representing clients in complex commercial disputes.
Serdar’s practice spans the entire life cycle of a business, encompassing the drafting and negotiation of operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and commercial contracts. Additionally, he counsels clients on pre-litigation strategies and represents them in matters involving breach of contract disputes, shareholder conflicts, and other commercial claims.
Leveraging his cross-border background, Serdar possesses extensive experience advising on transactions and legal matters involving both the United States and Turkey. This unique perspective enables him to provide commercially practical guidance across multiple jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Yellow Law Group, Serdar practiced corporate law and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in Turkey, where he advised on domestic and cross-border transactions, including share and asset acquisitions. His expertise includes managing comprehensive legal due diligence processes, negotiating key transaction terms, and facilitating deals through to successful closings.
Serdar earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree with a specialization in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with honors from Yeditepe University Faculty of Law. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the Ankara Bar Association.
